Tracking summer-like temperatures as we start October
We’re in for another warm and dry day, with a weather pattern that’s expected to remain stagnant throughout the week — so the forecast may start to feel a bit repetitive.
This morning, commuters will experience mild temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. A few clouds may linger, but it will already feel warm outside. It’s shaping up to be another T-shirt and shorts kind of day, with high temperatures climbing near 85 degrees — roughly 10 degrees above average for this time of year.
Cloud cover will be a bit more widespread than what we saw yesterday and is expected to stick around through tonight and into early Wednesday. Unfortunately, the added clouds won’t offer much relief from the heat.
In fact, we’re on a slight warming trend heading into the weekend. By Friday, highs could reach near 90 degrees — about 15 degrees above normal. As we transition into October on Wednesday, we typically see highs in the low to mid-70s, not the upper 80s.
Looking ahead, there’s a slight chance of rain returning on Saturday as temperatures begin to gradually fall back into the low to mid-80s.
