Tracking a warm & sunny start to the work week
We're starting the week off with another warm and toasty day across the St. Joseph region. Morning temperatures will begin in the low 60s, but it won’t take long for us to warm up. By lunchtime, we’ll already be nearing 80 degrees — definitely a shorts-and-T-shirt kind of day. Be sure to grab your sunglasses as well, with plenty of sunshine expected to stick around and help boost those afternoon temperatures.
By late afternoon and into the evening, highs will reach around 87 degrees — roughly 12 degrees above average for this time of year.
Looking ahead, Tuesday and Wednesday will bring increasing cloud cover, but not enough to significantly impact temperatures. Highs are expected to remain in the mid-80s through the week and into early October. We're tracking a dry and seasonably warm pattern as we approach the weekend.
However, changes are on the horizon. Rain chances return by the weekend, and temperatures are expected to slowly cool off.
Overnight lows won’t offer much relief from the warmth either. We'll continue to see temperatures in the low to mid-60s during the evening hours — well above the typical overnight lows for this time of year, which usually fall in the upper 40s to low 50s.
So, as we head into spooky season, don’t pack away your summer gear just yet. Keep those T-shirts and sunglasses close at hand!
