ST. JOESPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- A local senior living community opened its doors today to showcase its new renovations.

Benedictine remodeled their assisted and independent living apartments and gathering spaces without having to fully close the facility.

The goal of these renovations is to provide a better living environment for the residents.

Resident Deborah Flint stated "it makes it much more homey, much more like, like home instead of living in, you know, just living in an apartment. Much more homey feeling to it."
