Tracking foggy morning conditions and scattered rain through the weekend

This morning, areas across northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas are experiencing foggy conditions, leading to reduced visibility. On the Kansas side, visibility is down to one mile in some locations, and in others, it’s less than a mile. If you're heading out for the morning commute, be sure to take your time, drive slowly, and give yourself a few extra minutes.

Temperatures this morning remain mild and cool, ranging from the low to mid-60s. A cold front moved through overnight, and we’re feeling its effects early today. Highs this afternoon will climb near 80 degrees, with mostly dry and clear conditions after daybreak.

However, during the early evening hours—between 5 and 7 p.m.—we could see additional scattered rain showers move in, potentially impacting Friday night football games. This doesn't appear to be a washout, but you may want to bring a jacket and a towel just in case.

Scattered rain chances will continue into the weekend. While it won’t be a total washout, expect periods of dry weather and sunshine mixed in with the showers.

Monday marks the official start of fall, with temperatures staying mild in the low 80s. After Monday, we’re expecting a noticeable cool-down, with highs potentially dropping into the low 70s and more fall-like weather returning.
