Myers, Christopher M. 1989-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Christopher Michael Myers, 35, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025. He was born Nov. 10, 1989, in St. Joseph.

He attended Savannah, Missouri, High School and graduated from Summit High School in Breckenridge, Colorado. Christopher married Mary Gnuschke on Sept. 9, 2023. He worked as a Welder with BNSF Railroad, Collision Repair Specialists as a Tow Operator and currently was an Assistant Manager at FedEx.

Christopher enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors. He loved being around the kids and sharing his infectious smile and personality. He was a member of Hope United Church of Christ.

Christopher was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Eddie Lee Rice; maternal grandmother, Connie Pray; maternal-great-grandmother, Dorothy Gardner; great-grandfather, Ray (Julia) Ripley; paternal grandparents, Gary and Ada Copeland.

Survivors include mother, Jenny Rice; father, Scott (Kristi) Copeland; wife, Mary Elizabeth Myers; children, Jaselyn, Addison and Kynlee; brother, Matthew (Brittany) Copeland; sisters, Kelsey (Dakota) Copeland, Rhiannon (Casey) Lewark, Gabrielle Myers, Asher Myers; five nephews; father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Joy Gnuschke; brother-in-law, Nicholas Gnuschke; and uncle, Blake Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home. Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at Hope United Church of God in Cosby, Missouri. Memorials are requested to the Christopher Myers Memorial Fund, c/o Rupp Funeral Home.
