Happy 102nd Birthday Imogene Louise Smith!
With hearts full of love and admiration, we joyfully celebrate the 102nd birthday of Imogene Louise (Wise) Smith on Aug. 28, 2025. She was born on Aug. 28, 1923.
Born at home in Avenue City, Missouri, to Earl and Bessie (Moutray) Wise, Imogene has lived a life of grace, service, and unwavering faith. A proud graduate of Savannah High School (Class of 1941) and Gards Business College, she dedicated her professional life to serving others. Her work at the Savannah Cancer Sanatorium and the Missouri State Employment Agency earned her numerous accolades, including special recognition for her compassionate service to veterans.
In 1943, Imogene married the love of her life, Franklin M. Smith, and together they raised four children: Robert, Roberta, Ronald, and Sharon (Norris) Stricker. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A devoted member of the Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church, Imogene continues to inspire those around her with her vibrant spirit. She enjoys playing Bingo, staying active, attending Bible study, and sharing laughter and stories with her neighbors.
Though she has experienced the loss of her beloved husband Franklin (1981), daughter Roberta (2019), and son Robert (2021), Imogene’s strength and faith remain unshaken.
