Flores, Richard 1958-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Richard “Rick” Flores, 67, St. Joseph, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025. He was born March 16, 1958, in St. Joseph, to Viviano and Frances (Lopez) Flores.

He worked at Continental/Screw Conveyor for 36 years.

Rick loved listening to music and singing, telling stories and shooting pool, especially at the Shamrock. He couldn’t walk past a mirror without looking into it to “check himself out.” He was always making people laugh and was known for his love of food and sweets. He said, “I never had a bad meal.”

Rick’s Catholic faith was very important to him, as was his family. He was very proud of his son and granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include son, Brandon Flores (Erica); granddaughters, Faith Flores and Tallyn Flores; siblings, Mary Ann Parker, Mike Flores (Peggy), Becky Sollars (Burt), and Tina Gilmore; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Farewell Services 1 p.m. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
