A 46-year-old woman was Life-Flighted after suffering serious injuries in a car accident Friday afternoon in Holt County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, at 3:40 p.m. Tammie L. Sanders of Skidmore, Missouri, was traveling northbound on Missouri State Route 113, when her Ford Explorer traveled off the east side of the road. Sanders overcorrected causing the vehicle to skid out of control.
The vehicle returned to the road and slid off the east side again, struck an embankment, went airborne and overturned. The SUV came to rest on its top in a bean field.
Sanders was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph via LifeNet Air Ambulance with serious injuries.
She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
