I just saw a report about the Rolling Hills Library requesting voters renew the 20-year sunset clause for its tax levy, which expires this year.
Isn’t a sunset clause there so the voters know that at the end of this period, it will end?
So, I’m guessing that the trick is get it passed with a sunset clause and then before it expires, tell the voters of all the reasons it needs to be passed again.
Sounds like a trick on the voters. Why have a limit to funding when you will ask for more money again?
A sunset clause means at the end of this time it’s gone. Sorry, Charlie — no more.
