Glass all empty
Isn’t it funny how they say the schools’ enrollment has dropped? But who’d want to live in St. Joe. Nobody will protect you — you get your house broken into and the police say they can’t do anything about it; and 90 percent of the people, when they graduate, they leave St. Joe. Who wants to live in St. Joe? I’m old enough now, I wish had got out of there sooner. The way the City Council spends money, they don’t know what they’re spending it on, they’re just spending it.
Bats out of Hades
In response to No Sidewalks, who says we need to widen Cook Road and road rage is a daily occurrence because there’s no way to get around slow drivers? We will always have drivers that are slower than us. The other day, I was on the interstate, I was doing five miles an hour over the speed limit, and I had people flashing their lights at me to get me out of their way because I wasn’t going fast enough. No matter what speed you’re going, there’s somebody going faster, there’s somebody going slower. Wider streets aren’t going to make it that different. We just need to slow down and have patience.

This is to the disarming story: It’s a wonderful thing when they don’t carry guns in Walmart and other places, and Walmart has stopped selling the bullets. Ninety-three percent of the people want gun control, and they’re Democrats, Republicans and everything. Guns are not necessary. If you want a gun, get a water gun. But you don’t need a gun. A gun’s not going to save you, it’s not going to get you into heaven. Guns should be outlawed totally.
Do as I say
It would be interesting to know just how many of the crimes committed with firearms were legally purchased or obtained some other way. I wonder if Walmart’s owners use firearms for their own protection, or is it a “do as I say, not as I do” kind of deal?
I realize there are too many people in this country with the attention span of a cat. And I wonder how many of you people know that China and other nefarious governments donate a lot of money to the anti-gun crowd. You think they’re doing this out of the goodness of their heart? You better go see a shrink.
I’ll follow the sun
On CNN’s climate change town hall, nobody asked the most important question: What caused the ice ages to melt a number of times over the millennia? It freezes, it thaws; it freezes, it thaws. Nobody cares about a little thing like the truth, do they? It’s all about the sun cycles. That is what climate change is all about.
