Seek the source
The other day on the news, Quinton Lucas, the new mayor of Kansas City, got up and railed against guns and all the violence. He called out the gangs — he never called out the drug dealers — he just railed against the guns. Well, I have a problem with that, because if you don’t go to the source of the problem, you never fix it. And the source of the problem is not the weapons; the source of the problem is the people who have the weapons.
With all this violence, people keep saying what is wrong. I’ll tell you what is wrong: We are a spoiled society where nothing but “me” matters. We are selfish people who think of no one or nothing but “me.” That is the outcome when you have too much of everything — you always want more.
To the gentleman who just threw his coffee cup in the creek on 14th Street and Mason Road, there is a littering law in St. Joseph. I’ve got your license plate number, and the next time you throw something in that creek, I will turn you in.
Well, after a little bit of thought and soul searching on the queen that listens, I realize that so many times it is due to the federal judges in this country that our politicians cannot do the will of the people.

After reading an article in the paper about the pope and his climate change scam he’s trying to run, he must be a Democrat. I don’t think he’s read Genesis 1.
