Winds of greed
This is in response to “Jealous Wind:” I notice that the people who are opposed to wind turbines always talk about concerns for health, environment and energy production, whereas those in favor always talk about the money. It’s all about greed.
It seems a lot of people are working, and that’s a good thing. But there doesn’t seem to be a lot of money. I know many people having to work two and three jobs to make ends meet. My wife and I are retired but I have to go back to work because everything has gone up so much.
Anyone with half a brain can see through Congressman Adam Schiff when he attempts to portray himself as an American patriot and staunch supporter of the Constitution. Like a chameleon that changes its color, Schiff changes from villain to patriot in the blink of an eye.
I think MoDOT should consider a parkway to replace I-229 in Downtown St. Joseph. Lots of cities have examples of roadways like this that still route traffic effectively. Rebuilding the bridge would just amount to sinking money into a temporary solution. Let’s reclaim Downtown’s riverfront view.
Turn the page
I find it incredible that you’re supposed to be a newspaper, and all the newspapers in the country are reporting impeachment on page one. You have yet to report one day where you show that as the main story on any of page one, you hide it on page two. Good grief.
A big farce
This impeachment farce is ridiculous. If that phone call was an impeachable offense, and holding up aid is an impeachable offense — even though he did give it to them and they didn’t even know he held it up, because of corruption — then every president, past and future, should be indicted and should be impeached.
Have you heard of the Medicare Advantage plans? There are no providers north of Kansas City. How can they sell this to every individual?
Bridge too far
Seriously? A resolution to declassify Interstate 229? You have got to be kidding me.
