Sliver of money
Hey, Dr. Van Zyl, how about we cut your salary in half so that we can generate more than $100,000 back into the school system so you don’t have to cut out any of our three high schools? We happen to like the three high schools. So leave them alone, and do what you’re supposed to do: keep them running.
President Donald Trumps says, “I love Florida, Florida loves me.” I got news for you, buddy. I know some people down there who can’t stand you.
The national debt is not a Trump deal. He’s a small part of it. Former President Barack Obama was a huge part. And I think we should just elect Sen. Elizabeth Warren and get on that bankruptcy train going downhill and be done in four or five years.
I’ve been a Republican my whole life, and if I’ve got anything to do, I’m going out to see how many Democrat signs I can get and put in my yard.
The issue with Apple Bus Co. is a driver shortage. No one wants to drive a bus anymore because the students don’t behave. They have no respect. It’s hard to drive safely and babysit the 60 or so children on the bus. The need to board the bus and sit down until their destination is reached. There are cameras on the bus and discipline write-ups, but discipline needs to start at home.
Just a mess
What’s undemocratic, Trump, is you and all your followers. The sooner you’re out of there, the better this country’s going to be. We need to get back to some normalcy. It’s just a mess in this country.
Where was it?
The News-Press keeps admonishing us that they will not accept any more calls or letters about the election after a certain date. I haven’t seen any calls or letters about the election. In fact, I wasn’t aware there was an election. I’m not sure what’s going on. I read the paper faithfully, front to back, but I must have missed something.

To the schools: You know why your kids get these low scores? These poor kids get left behind. Is that the way it’s going to be in the new schools when you build them?
