I see the paper has plastered Sen. Josh Hawley’s picture on the front page again. He needs to be worried about the people up in Craig, Missouri, and all these farmers who are devastated from this flood that the Corps has produced and go after them, which has not really happened. The old golden boy is holding up to his true colors.
God and I
The radio was talking about laboratory-grown meat and that by 2030 or around there that is all we will be eating is laboratory-grown meat. If I ever find out that I have eaten meat raised in a lab, I will sue. It’s contrary to the rules of nature. And I do not think God would approve. I certainly don’t.
The same people who are in such a fit over Russia meddling with our election are the same people who look the other way when this country meddles with the affairs of other countries.
Just a ploy
If anybody truly believes that the USDA agencies will move out of Washington, D.C., to the Midwest, I have some swamp ground I would love to sell you. Don’t believe it until you see it. It is a political move to make sure that President Donald Trump gets re-elected.
Congratulations to the Kansas City area’s selection as a new USDA headquarters with 500 employees. Now, if we in northern Missouri, especially north of the Missouri River, in our Northwest counties of Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell, Clay and Platte will get to work, maybe we can have some of those 500 high-paying jobs. Please contact U.S. Sens. Roy Blunt and Josh Hawley, as well as Congressman Sam Graves.
He said it
A caller said Trump is doing his best. Yes, he is doing his best to get a foreign country involved in our election. He said he would welcome information from someone in a foreign country although it is against the law. Hey, it worked once, maybe it will work again.
Bold and young
I would like to congratulate the Bode Middle School students for their success in raising funds for the Friends of the Animal Shelter. The fact that they have made this effort for six years is admirable. They are compassionate young people and work hard to make a difference. As Alonzo Weston stated in his recent column, “the Friends of the Animal Shelter has a campaign underway to raise $1.5 million by 2021, to relocate and to a new and larger shelter.” I just hope more organizations and businesses will follow the example of the bold young people and make the acquisition a reality even sooner.
This is about people who didn’t have a sewer bill for a few years. I was wondering whose fault was that? That is funny. I wish I was on that list.
