The school board can’t build its way out of the school district’s problems. Millions would be better spent raising all teacher pay by $10,000, attracting the best teachers and treating them better to lift morale.
Birds of a feather
Inept, incompetent and clumsy. Well, if it walks like a duck, it must be President Donald Trump.
Lot of money
A government report says that these illegal children cost $800 a day — the government spends $800 a day to keep these young kids who are illegally coming across our border.
Taking it away
Why does Trump want to take health insurance away from a lot of American people? There’s a lot of sick people, a lot of people who have sick children, and they can’t get the medicine they need. We had a child with cancer, and we had insurance, but these people have to worry about keeping their son or daughter alive and then they have to worry about the president taking their insurance away. I mean, come on.
Horns and halos
Shame on the person who called in about the tattooed women. Those tattoos symbolize a defining moment in someone’s life or the loss of a loved one. Who are you to judge? Where is your halo? When I went to church, I was told the only one who was supposed to judge us was the good Lord himself.
I really enjoy the St. Joe paper, because I know as I read it sooner or later I’m going to get a good belly laugh. And I couldn’t help but have a good laugh in Thursday’s paper when the Associated Press described Nancy Pelosi as a “battle born leader.” Oh my God.
Game of tag
You know, yesterday I counted 14 cars in St. Joe with no tags — front, back, window or anywhere. I also walked through the supermarket parking lot and found four cars without renewed tags, two of them over a year. Do we enforce that in St. Joe anymore, or do I need to bother to tag my car?
Here we go
Well, I see the pollsters are spewing that nonsense once again as we approach the election. I seem to remember Hillary Clinton being way out in front of Donald Trump, by many, many, many points. And yet, here were go again.
One could wish Trump was a dictator, then he could rid our country of the nagging, whining Democrats who are stalling law and order in the USA.
