When gasoline prices are increased, big oil claims it’s because of the increased price of crude oil. When crude oil prices go down and gasoline prices do not go down, big oil claims the price of crude oil has nothing or little effect on the gasoline prices. I wonder which is true.
Just do it
In response to the caller in Sunday’s paper, about Colin Kaepernick going to countries that he respects, I agree. He can take Nike with him.
Playing it right
The baseball All-Star game is so much better than the NBA All-Star game and the Pro Bowls in the NFL. It’s competition, it’s a lot more unity, it’s a lot more professional, a lot more fun to watch. The NBA, all it is is like a pickup game at a playground, where it’s easy to score the most points but no defense. It’s a complete joke. All it is is a nice vacation showing us how much money all these rich guys have, and it’s no better than a touch football game. Baseball is doing a good job of giving some good entertainment and showing how professionals play with pride and dignity.
Was a question asked, “Would those with children be willing to pay more for their kids to go to school rather than having the elderly pay for their kids?”
Keep your skin
I would never equate tattoos with the type of vocation one might have. However, I would like to remind everyone that tattooed skin is not eligible to be a skin donor.
It’s a riddle
Esther J. Cepeda says kids don’t really need to learn English. That’s just what we need — two languages in this country to divide us even further. If she believes this so much, she should write her column in Spanish and see how many people read it.
Here’s the deal with equal pay for almost all women’s sports. The WNBA is completely subsidized by the NBA. They do not make money. And when it comes to FIFA, sure, the U.S. women’s team sells out and whatever hosting country will sell out their team, but even look at the bronze game on Saturday. There couldn’t have been 15,000 people in that stadium, and if it had been a men’s game, it would have been full.
The bright side
Hey, no worries about unoccupied/abandoned houses in St Joe. They’re burning every week.
