More on buses
How much money could be saved on busing in the St. Joseph School District if at the three high schools they would set their sports schedules up so that, for example, the soccer team and baseball/softball team both played the same school on the same night? They could share a bus. There is no reason to send so many buses in so many different directions every night of the week. Maybe some of the athletic directors should start thinking out of the box. When the students go on field trips for different classes, band, choir, etc., the parents have to pay extra for the bus. Maybe there should be a bus fee for sports, too.
Pay for the benefits
Here in the Midwest, you take the same types of jobs in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa, and they always paid better in Missouri because we had closed-shop unions. That meant that everybody had to belong to the union if the majority voted for it and they had to pay the union dues for their representation. Kind of like if you live in the state of Missouri you have to pay your taxes to live here if you are going to enjoy the benefits of it.
My wife was at Wal-Mart the other day and she left her purse in the cart. The next day, the police station called and someone returned it to the police station. I would just like to thank that person. It is so nice to know we have honest people here in St. Joe.
You should agree
To the caller who called in “Not from here,” no, they were from Saudi Arabia, but if that caller would pay a little bit more attention, those seven countries are the ones Obama banned immigrants from coming in from. Trump is just carrying on Obama’s agenda. So, if you love Obama, you should agree with Trump, as that was Obama’s agenda to begin with.
Turn him loose
Whatever Donald Trump’s faults may be, the stock market likes him and that makes my IRA very happy, which, in turn, makes me very happy. So turn him loose, let him go.
I had to laugh at Monday’s paper and a column by Peter Funt, “CNN’s a beacon in dark times.” I would call it a false light in dark shadows.
