Lots of ammo
To the person who says putting restrictions on ammunition is going to stop mass shootings. First of all, there are billions of rounds of ammunition sitting around that will bother nobody forever. I personally have over 5,000 rounds of rifle ammunition in my home and it hasn’t hurt anybody. It never will. And what about the reloaders? People can buy reloading equipment, so it’s not going to do any good.
I can’t believe a Republican congressman said rape and incest helped populate the world and we need more population. The world is overpopulated now, and people are starving, fleeing their homes, having more babies than they can take care of. And this country doesn’t want them if we have to supplement their care.
Back in the day, there were only two large corporations in St. Joseph that had extra-good paying jobs that had labor unions, three if you count all the railroads as one. We old timers know which companies I’m referring to. For what little you have to show for all the years of hard work from the so-called union jobs in this town is truly sad. Some of you are working past retirement age because the good old union jobs that you bragged about weren’t so good after all. Union jobs may be good in some cities if you choose the right companies. I just hate to see people struggling when they gave so much of themselves.
How is it that there are always job positions open for our friends south of the border at mostly food-processing plants? I would love to see what kind of wages their cheapskate company owners are paying compared to those who are American citizens. These poor people are given false hope. They leave their country with nothing, and they move here, to a place where the economy is 10 times higher than where they came from. How do they get by financially, when they know packing up and going back home is not an option? Maybe we should ask St. Joe’s finest that question.
Thou art hypocrite
There is no bigger hypocrite in this world than an atheist who will quote scripture.
The Democrats can spin the facts however they like, but these two women who aren’t allowed to go to Israel made terrible statements about the Jewish people. And they shouldn’t go there. They don’t like the Jews, they have made that plain and clear. I heard someone say this will hurt our relationship with Israel. No, it will not. It will make it stronger. This country does not put up with anti-Semitism, and just because they got elected doesn’t mean they’re above that.
Guns to protect
In reference to “Drugs, weapons convictions in shooting suspect’s past”: This gentleman had convictions, he was in prison, was never supposed to have any weapons at all and yet he managed to get them. And that makes the argument that you shouldn’t take guns away from law-abiding citizens; they’re there to help protect and defend others.
