Although the National Baseball Congress World Series ended sooner than the St. Joseph Mustangs would have liked, outfielder Orencio Fisher made an impression.

The Missouri Western product was the tournament's leading hitter and was named to the NBC World Series All-American Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Fisher hit .556 for the tournament, with 10 hits, 2 RBIs, a pair of doubles and 5 stolen bases. Fisher was the lone Mustangs player named to the squad.

During the MINK League season, the Lee's Summit, Missouri, native led the circuit in stolen bases with 34 and hit at a .267 clip. For the Griffons, Fisher hit .359 in 39 games during the 2015 season with 21 steals.
