Doris "Boo Boo" Nadine Pierce 96, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, in a St. Joseph health care center.
She was born July 5, 1926, in Union, Nebraska, daughter of the late Blanche and Robert Thorne.
She was a Homemaker who enjoyed traveling, gambling, singing and dancing; she most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by: her husband, Don Pierce; her parents; an aunt and uncle who raised her, Fay and John Hendrix; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by: sons: Terry K. Pierce, St. Joseph, and Andy (Mariam) Pierce, Nederland, Colorado, Randy Pierce, Kansas City, Missouri and Donnie (Kit) Pierce, Grain Valley, Missouri; grandchildren: Taylor Pierce, Darcee (Jeremy) Blanchard, Ryan (Leslie) Pierce and Lindsey (Cody) Bellah, Cameron Pierce and Cassie Pierce, great grandchildren: Kazdyn Pierce-Blanchard, Krimzyn Blanchard, Jordyn, Kylee, Avery Booklynn and Kennadie; and a sister, Gladys Weston, Omaha, Nebraska.
The family will have a private memorial service at Rupp Funeral Home at a later date.
