Rick D. Miller

Rick D. Miller, 64, St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born August 25, 1954.

Rick married Cheri Johnson on Nov. 22, 2005.

He was the owner/operator of Hoof and Horn Steak House from 1985-2001. Rick enjoyed over the road truck driving. In 2016 he retired as a cook from Fredrick Inn.

Rick was an avid golfer, loved working in his garden and doing anything outside. He was an amazing cook; he didn't necessarily love it but didn't like the way others did it. Rick was a wonderful caregiver to his wife and anyone else in need.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jack and Rosie (Worley) Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Cheri; children, Nicole Miller (Holly), Trey J. Miller (Baillie Shores), Josh Johnson (Ashleigh), Jessica Johnson, Joseph Johnson; grandchildren, Harlee Wheeler (Jerry), Faith, Brayden, Connor, and Emily Johnson; great-grandson, Jerry Wheeler, Jr.; brother, Gary Miller (Tammy); sister, Karen Evans (Jeffrey); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Rick's family wishes to send a special thank you to the ladies of Three Rivers Hospice for their incredible care.

Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals.
