Themla M. Kline, 82, St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at her home.
She was born August 3, 1934, in Ravenwood, Missouri, to Jesse D. and Myrtle Cox, and was raised a farm girl, graduated from Savannah High School and Platte Gard Business College.
Thelma married Marion Richard Dick Kline at Savannah Methodist Church on September 3, 1953.
She was a director of Mothers Day Out and truly loved those little ones.
After retiring, she enjoyed traveling in their motor home for seven years, spending about six months on the road and the other six months at home.
Thelma was a hard worker, loved her family, church, and enjoyed friends and playing games, family gatherings and having her family home for the holidays was her favorite thing.
She was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church, where she and her family were very active. She was also a member of PEO Chapter ED, and Methodist Christian Womens Circle. She enjoyed working in the different activities and lived a Christian life.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Jesse L. Cox and Charles R. Cox.
Survivors include: her husband; sons, Richard Lee Kline (LeeAnn) and Keith Daniel Kline (Sarena); four grandchildren, Jared Kline (Jordan), Desiree Howard (Jared), Brett Kline (Jen), Erin Kline (Justin); and four great-grandchildren.
Farewell Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Ashland United Methodist Church.
Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will gather with friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday.
