CLYDE, Mo. - Sr. Mary Lenora Black OSB, 93, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at Our Lady of Rickenbach, in Clyde.
Sr. Lenora was born on Sept. 15, 1926, in Lake Worth, Florida, to Lester M. and Lillian J. (Porter) Black.
She was a graduate of Tufts College and Nazareth College. She was a analytical chemist for four years.
She entered the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, on Aug. 5, 1952, and was given the name Sr. Mary Lenora Black. Her first Profession of vows was on Feb. 11, 1954, and her Final Profession of vows was on March 12, 1959.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her sister, Lois Mae Black.
She is survived by: four nephews: Tom Henning, John Henning, Paul Henning and Michael Henning; and her Monastic family.
A wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, the Benedictine Convent Chapel, in Clyde.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at the Benedictine Convent Chapel, with burial following, at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Clyde.
