Scanlan, Richard L. 1941-2025 Jefferson, Iowa

JEFFERSON, Iowa – Richard “Dick” L. Scanlan, 83, of Jefferson, Iowa, was born in Two Harbors, Minnesota, on June 29, 1941, to John and Myrtle (Falk) Scanlan. Richard passed away on June 1, 2025.

Richard graduated from Lafayette High School in 1959. Richard worked at the Pearl Brewing company for many years and went on to manage and own several motorcycle businesses throughout his years.

Richard is survived by sons, Brad Scanlan (Tina), of Jefferson, David Scanlan, of Friendswood, Texas; and daughter, Jennifer Kuehner (Victor), of St. Joseph; three grandchildren, Joshua Thomas (Kayla), of Parkville, Missouri, Jacee Thomas, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Cole Scanlan, of Friendswood; also two great-grandchildren, Skye and Miles Thomas, of Parkville.

Richard has been cremated and a family service is scheduled for a later date. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
