Ellsworth, John M. 1973-2025 Severance, Kan.

SEVERANCE, Kan. – John M. Ellsworth, 51, of Severance, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in Troy, Kansas. John was born on Oct. 13, 1973, in St. Joseph, to Neale I. and Peggy Lee (Bennett) Ellsworth.

John married Sherry Duncan on Oct. 6, 2000, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.

He was a truckdriver for Miller’s Trucking and worked for Nestle Purina of St. Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Additional survivors: children, Ashley Matt (Mark), Aubrey Bruns (Jeremy), Addiston Ellsworth (Fiance, Ethan), Allyson Ellsworth and Alyxandrea Ellsworth; grandchildren, Brooklee, Kaylee, Kiefer, Brennen and Braxton; siblings, Rhonda Ellsworth, Thomas Ellsworth (Patrice) and Cheryl Henry (Mick); sister-in-law, Dianne Ashworth; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.

John’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.

Family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas.
