Sep. 14—The Jasper County Health Department on Tuesday reported six additional deaths of residents due to COVID-19, bringing the county's total to 213.

The residents were men in their 30s, 40s and 60s, and women in their 50s, 60s and 80s, health officials said.

At least 488 people from Joplin and Jasper and Newton counties have died of COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic.
