Camp Geiger 5K Fun Run, 7 a.m. signup, 8 a.m. race, Route K just north of St. Joseph. The area contains miles of maintained paths in the hills and valleys along the bluff above the Missouri River. The paint station color run is an opportunity to enjoy a different course. Any funds raised will support the Patrick L. Newman scholarship for members of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. The event is open to all classes of runners throughout the Midwest. Registration is online at Micosay.org.

“Past and Present” car show, 10 a.m., Wyeth-Tootle Mansion, 1100 Charles St. The Knuckle Draggerz Car Club presents antique and unusual cars. Admission is $1 per person. The event is free for children 8 and younger. Proceeds benefit the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion. You can register your car for the show for $10 between 8 and 10 a.m.

“We Are the Future” back-to-school community ice cream social, noon to 3 p.m., John Lucas Recreation Complex. We will have ice cream, burgers, and entertainment. There is no cost, but you are welcome to give a freewill donation to help our mentoring group provide programs, food, supplies and equipment for our youth.
