A woman suffered minor injuries in a two-car collision on Monday at the intersection of Edmond and South Ninth streets.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. and involved a Nissan Quest and a Chevy Cruze.

The St. Joseph Police Department said the driver of the Cruze hit the Quest as the driver was traveling east on Edmond. The Quest then ran into a light post, causing it to fall and break.

Police said the woman driving the Quest suffered a minor hip injury and was transported to the hospital via Buchanan County EMS. There were two children in the Quest traveling as passengers, but they were not injured.

The driver of the Cruze was unharmed and drove the vehicle from the scene.
