A 20-year-old Daviess County man has been charged with animal abuse after allegedly stabbing a dog to death.
Bronson Wildman of Altamont, Missouri, was arrested after police responded to a call that the man was trying to stab his mother and their dog. When police arrived on the scene, they reported the dog had received multiple lacerations and stab wounds to its face and body and died shortly thereafter.
Wildman’s mother was covered in blood, according to court documents, but she did not receive any injuries.
According to court documents, Wildman is an authorized cultivator of marijuana and authorities alleged he appeared to be using the substance at the time of the event.
The man is being held on a $15,000 cash-only bond.
