Two people were injured in a car accident on Interstate 29 in Holt County Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash happened three miles north of Craig, Missouri. A Ford Fiesta was traveling northbound on I-29 when it traveled off the west side of the road, crossed the median and entered the southbound lanes of I-29. The car struck the driver side of a Ford F150.

The Ford Fiesta overturned and traveled off the west side of the roadway and came to rest on its roof.

Both occupants inside the Fiesta sustained injuries. Catherine Miller, 52, of Florence, South Carolina, suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Fairfax Community Hospital. The driver, Ivy Williams, 59, of Florence, South Carolina, sustained moderate injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the F150 did not sustain any injuries.
