A fire breaks out on East Joseph Street on Wednesday evening. There was no one injured in the fire.

Residents of a home on East Joseph Street arrived home around 9 p.m. Wednesday to a strange smell coming from their garage.

Firefighters arrived shortly after to a fully involved fire that took close to 30 minutes to extinguish.

The two residents were able to get out of their home safely.

The firefighters contained the fire mostly to the garage and parts of the attic. There were two cars destroyed in the fire.

The St. Joseph Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire and will release more details soon.
