Bad Art Bistro, which opened at 707 Edmond St. in 2010, is closing its doors on Friday, June 7.

A Downtown restaurant is closing its doors for good.

Bad Art Bistro announced the restaurant’s last day of operation will be Friday, June 7.

Bad Art Bistro opened in 2010 at 707 Edmond St. Andrew Clark, who attended the French Culinary Institute in New York, later joined the restaurant as a chef and took over as owner in 2014.

Clark said the building is under new ownership.

“The building that we occupy on Edmond Street has been sold and is being repurposed by the new owners,” Clark said in a statement to News-Press NOW. “We have loved every one of our fans, and I have enjoyed serving thousands of customers. On to new adventures.”

Clark previously described Bad Art Bistro as a fine dining establishment usually found in bigger cities.

“If food is an interesting part of your life, that’s where we come in,” Clark said.
