An ambulance responded to Missouri Western State University after reports of an accident on Monday morning involving a student and a nail gun.
The victim injured his finger using the nail gun. University spokesman Kent Heier said the incident was an accident.
“We had a student who was using a nail gun in an art class,” Heier said.
The class took place in Potter Hall on campus, which is where emergency crews responded. The student chose to go to the hospital in a private vehicle instead of an ambulance.
Heier said he did not have information regarding the seriousness of the student's injury.
