This month’s issue is very special to us at Josephine magazine. We are celebrating our 16th birthday alongside the sweet Autumn Bradford, our cover girl. But this isn’t Autumn’s first time gracing our cover.

Autumn shares our birthday of September 10, 2003. When the publication was gearing up for its one year mark, former Josephine editor Nichi Yeager went searching for a little girl born on the same day. She found her.

A 1-year-old Autumn made her Josephine debut with a smash cake on the August 2004 cover. Her parents, Jeff and Angela Bradford, were elated. In fact, the mother and daughter make a point to attend the Josephine Expo every year to snap a photo with that cover hanging in the hall at the Civic Arena.

“I really enjoy it,” she said. “It’s something I look forward to.”

The sophomore at East Buchanan High School enjoys singing with the New Generation Singers and wants to go to culinary school after graduation, specifically to study baking.

Happy birthday, Autumn! We hope you enjoy your special day and thank you for being part of ours.
