This week kicks off the holiday season in my mind. That's when the memories start.
It’s officially November, so that means we can all put up our Christmas trees, right?
Have I mentioned that fall is my absolute favorite?
Even though it’s ridiculously hot outside, August always makes me feel like spring cleaning. Yes, you read that correctly.
Is it July already?
May has always been a busy month for me. I usually have five or six graduation parties to attend, a few wedding festivities, end-of-school-year functions, yard work to finish before Missouri’s humidity strikes and birthday parties to plan.
Anybody who knows me, knows I’m absolutely a squirrel.
Spring is on its way. Thank goodness! And we have some big news.
Well, we’ve made it to 2021! The last year was rough but we are staying positive and moving in the right direction. As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve made some wonderful changes to Josephine magazine.
The holiday season is upon us and we have packed these pages full of goodies to help you through the journey.
We’re back! It feels so good to be able to publish a printed magazine after such a long hiatus. This has been a crazy year, has it not?
How is everyone doing? Honestly?
Well ladies, it’s official. I’ve been married for a decade.
Is it really that time of year, again? The time when we all start putting pressure on ourselves to make changes in our lives? Ugh!
I’ll make no apologies for saying I’m a winter kind of gal. I like the cold. I like the warm comfort foods, snowball fights and sledding. I like sweaters, scarves and fuzzy socks while I binge watch my favorite shows on Netflix.
I have three wedding anniversaries. Yup! You read that correctly.
Being a parent can be a struggle, and there is definitely not an instruction manual. For the most part, we’re just winging it.
I don't know about you all, but I've had my fill of slush, freezing rain and snow. Spring is one of my favorite times of year because I enjoy watching everything around me come to life. Leaves start forming on the trees. Chutes of grass begin poking their heads out and quite a few of my pere…
I've been with my husband for almost 15 years and married for nine of those. If a proposal is any indication of marriage, well, ours was destined for Wild West standoffs and a little humor.
It's a new year and a new us, right?
The stress and excitement of the holiday season is upon us. The staff at Josephine magazine wanted to deliver our readers a little something extra this month. The "Holidays" edition is the perfect guide to everything food, gifts and entertainment. From stories on how to find the best deals, …
October is the unofficial start to the holiday season. If you're like me, the fall decorations went up right after Labor Day, but October gives us the “OK” to truly indulge ourselves.
I'm really not a fan of marshmallows. However, when they are warmed to the point of perfectly melting the chocolate, well, it's heavenly.
For many families, June is the start of an abundance of summer activities and vacations.
Being a parent is a different experience for everyone.
April is normally a tranquil time of year for me. School is nearly over so things are calm on the homework front and most activities are dying down. When I look outside I see an abundance of green grass and many of my perennials are starting to sprout. It's peaceful to watch life slowly unfo…
I enjoy the winter. The freezing temperatures give me an excuse to layer my clothes, throw on a pair of boots and slap a hat on my head. It's an easy way to avoid the truth that I just don't know how to dress my body anymore.
This month, the staff of Josephine magazine decided to do something a little different for the cover. In the 15 years that Josephine has been printed, we haven't strayed far from showcasing a familiar face on the front. We didn't have to go far to collect some legs to illustrate a fun story …
I don't know about you, but I've been humming Christmas carols since November started. The holidays give me an extra spring in my step that doesn't seem to end until almost February.
I love to host parties at my home. I've got it down to a science but when it comes to decorating my table, it can be a bit of a struggle. I consider myself up-to-date on etiquette yet I'm never quite sure which glass goes where or which fork comes first. We've got some place setting arrangem…
I am one of those people who doesn't mind the Halloween decorations coming out when it's technically still summer. Fall is my favorite time of year. Maybe it's because I was born in late September and I feel a connection with the cool air, the turning of the leaves and the colors that brings.
