Art awards nominations open through June 14

The 33rd annual Mayor’s Awards for the Arts is approaching, and nominations are open to recognize those who contribute to the arts scene in St. Joseph.

Mayor John Josendale, art leaders and community members will come together July 18 for the Allied Arts Council event.

Nominees will be recognized among six categories:

Artist of the Year

Arts Educator of the Year

Youth Artist

Organization Achievement in the Arts

Individual Leadership

Outstanding Volunteer

Nominations are due at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 14, and can be submitted in person or mailed to 118 South Eighth Street, St. Joseph, Missouri 64501. Submissions can also be emailed to cathy.ketter@stjoearts.org.
