Carl and Esther are proud grandparents of Krista Firkins of Nashville, Tennessee, Hailey Pierce (Nick) of Boston, Massachusetts, Drew Firkins of Omaha, Casey Schultz (Jennifer) of Avenue City, Chris Schultz, and Anna Schultz, of St. Joseph; Holly, Hannah, Adam, and Williams Johnston all of St. Joseph and great grandsons Cal and Caiden Schultz of Avenue City.

They have been very active in St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. An open house will be held in their honor in the Fellowship Hall at St. Paul, 4715 Frederick Blvd., Saturday, July 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. We would like to invite friends to come and celebrate with them. No gifts please.
