Lt. Gov. Mike Parson launched a new statewide program called “Buy Missouri” this fall. The program recognizes and promotes products made within the borders of Missouri while strengthening the state’s economy.
Parson visited 10 communities across Missouri to promote the program, starting in St. Joseph.
The goal of the program is to identify and compile Missouri products so all Missourians know which products on the shelves were made in Missouri.
“These products are made by our friends and neighbors,” Parson said. “If people know they are made in Missouri, they’ll be more likely to buy them.”
Ryan Stauffer of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce traveled with Parson.
“I’m very excited for this program,” he said. “It’s a good thing not just for Missouri businesses, but citizens as well.”
