A local group whose sign was stolen at Holiday Park earlier this month erected a new sign at the park on Thursday.

St. Joseph Skeptics Society members claimed they tried to avoid controversy when they put the sign "Be Good for Goodness Sake," in Krug Park. David Carr, spokesman for the group, said all they wanted to do was express their sentiments for the holiday.

About half a dozen members of the Skeptics Society protest the National Day of Prayer event that the Rev. Jared Hamilton spoke at Thursday afternoon at Civic Center Park. A recent court ruling declared the federally recognized day as unconstitutional.
