Tons of trouble
I’m calling about a southern Buchanan County road problem. There is a wooden bridge on Road 66 that extends to M Highway. A diesel going to Texas came down that road and could not cross the bridge because of tonnage. Funny, though, on the south side sign it says 8 tons, on the north side the sign says 18 tons. With all roads closed to 59 and 45 Highways, the county should have signs at the end of the road stating there is a bridge and its limits. This diesel had to back up probably a mile and a half through the curves and the hills.
In reference to the article in the paper about the Hamilton Reservoir being full, yes, it’s full and running over the spillway, but the water tastes so bad, you are almost unable to drink it. We buy bottled water and won’t even give city water to our dogs. If you are planning on coming to Hamilton, bring your own drinking water.
Not worth it
There have been hundreds of thousands of (military) service people who have given their lives and countless more have been injured protecting our governmental way of life and our prayer. Now, we have a number of members of Congress and left-leaning persons running for president, who strongly endorse and advocate that socialism is the correct form of government. I doubt if many of those who fought and died or were injured would have considered it their duty to do this much to perpetuate socialism. After all, under socialism the individuals have no obligation, the “government” will take care of everything.
Not the problem
Brian Myers wanted to suspend the city manager. The city manager has done an outstanding job with the city’s finances over the years. Our audits have been outstanding.
No more claws
The article in the paper about New York banning cats being declawed is just amazing that they care more about cats than unborn babies. I don’t know what this world is coming to.
I heard that someone from the tea party says that Russia is the reason that Hillary Clinton is not president now. Well, all I can say is thank God for Russia. I’ve been a Democrat all my life but I’m ashamed to admit it now.
Attention Stonecrest residents, you own an enclosure to stop vehicle break-ins. It is called a garage.
Rejected at home
When somebody runs for the presidency, like Trump or Gore, and they can’t even win their own home state, why would you vote for this man again when the people that know him won’t vote for him, either?
