St. Joseph lost a hometown hero on Friday, the 9th of September 2016. Eric Henry Edward Tovey, known to the world as Lord Little Brook, peacefully passed at home with his family at the age of 87.
He was born January 13, 1929, in England, and came overseas with the circus. He became one of the worlds most well-known professional midget wrestlers of all time. He was inducted into the Professional Hall of Fame in 2004.
Little Brook was a bundle of fire and he lived life in and out of the ring to the fullest.
Survivors: love of his life, Joyce Tovey; children, Chris, Shirley, Eric, Bobby, Lucky and Lori; 24 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Alan; sister, Susan; many extended family members.
Preceded by: father, Harry; mother, Alice; brother, Bryan; sisters, Ivy, Sylvie and Eileen; granddaughter, Brooke.
