Father Thomas Eugene Danaher, 77, of St. Joseph, Maryknoll Missioner for 50 years, died on August 13, 2012.
He was ordained on June 9, 1962, and assigned to Hong Kong, where he served most of his missionary career.
He attended St. Joseph’s Cathedral Grammar School and Christian Brothers High School.
He held a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in religious education.
He is predeceased by parents, Lucy and John E. Danaher, Sr. and four brothers, John, Leonard, Joseph and James.
Survived by: five sisters, Mary Griggs, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Catherine Whalen and Margaret D’Huyvetter of St. Joseph; Agnes Barry, Cottonwood, Ariz. and Helen Unruh Brower, Royal, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Pat Danaher, Lee’s Summit, Mo. and Mary Danaher, Kansas City, Mo. and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be concelebrated on August 21, at Maryknoll, Ossining, N.Y., followed by Christian burial in Maryknoll Society Cemetery.
