Dale Eugene Sears, 71, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012.

He was born June 13, 1941, in St. Joseph, son of  Rachel and William Sears.

He served in the United States Army.

He retired from Friskies Pet Foods.

He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters, Glendola "Yvonne" Morse; Olliemay McQuiston; Delma Sears; Julia Sears; Thelma Sears; Darlene Kriner and Esther "Roberta" Kunzler; four brothers, Raymond, Charles, Thomas "Sonny," Earl Sears.

Survivors include three daughters, Konda Wacker and husband, Michael; Karla Miller and husband, Walt and Kristi McCamy and husband, Andrew, all of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three brothers, James, Delbert and George "Kenneth" Sears; and his former wife, Bonnie Sears.

Graveside funeral service and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kan.

The funeral cortege will leave at 9 a.m.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the Rupp Funeral Home.
