Richard Vincent McDaniel, 59, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his home.
He was born January 15, 1954, in St. Joseph, son of Opal and Charles McDaniel. He married Ramona Smith on June 6, 1970, and she survives of the home. He retired from I & M Machine after 30 years as a Sheet Metal Fabricator. He enjoyed going on road trips with his family to Branson and all over, he enjoyed cars and drag racing, camping, his three dogs, and he loved Elvis Presley music. He was a member of the Gospel Center in Amazonia, Mo.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Danny and David McDaniel.
Survivors include wife, Ramona McDaniel, of the home; three daughters, Ramona "Sissy" McDaniel and companion, Matt Crawford, Tanya "NaNa" McDaniel and companion, Mat Webb of St. Joseph and Crystal "Biff" McDaniel and companion, Jason Fowler of Nevada, Mo.; son, Richard "Mack" McDaniel, Jr. and companion, Laurie "LaLa" Long of St. Joseph; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charles (Tamara) McDaniel, Jr. of Arizona, Albert (Cindy) McDaniel of St. Joseph, Ronnie (Terri) McDaniel of Atchison, Kan., Kenny (Beth) McDaniel of Savannah, Mo.; two sisters, Aline Hawkins of Wathena, Kan., Mary Foster of St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Franklin Hess officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the NO 6 Cemetery Frazier, Mo.
