Harley Marie Teem, 14, St. Joseph, died suddenly Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, following a lifelong battle with a heart defect.

She was born May 5, 1998 to Craig and Heidi Teem in St. Joseph, where she lived her life.

Harley was a beautiful, loving, compassionate girl, who loved animals, singing, art, poetry, attending school at Truman Middle School, and caring for people.

Survivors: parents; three sisters, Ashley, Shelby, and Phoebe; niece, Skylar; grandparents, Dieter Winkler (Cheryl) and Dennis Teem (Jeanette); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.

Interment: Blakely Cemetery, Easton, Mo.

The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.

The family suggests memorial gifts to Noyes Home or M’Shoogy’s.
