Three men were transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center early Wednesday morning after a two-car crash on Interstate 35.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wesley Calloway, 24, from Gallatin, Missouri, and Eric Teel, also 24 from Gallatin, were not wearing seat belts when they attempted to pass another car at about 6:13 a.m. on I-35 just south of Cameron, Missouri.

A crash report released by the patrol said Teel was the driver and Calloway was the passenger. The report said that vehicle was driving south at a high rate of speed when it struck the rear of a unit being towed by Alfred Guzman, 52, from Wharton, Texas.

According to the patrol report, the vehicle Teel was driving spun and came to rest in the median and Guzman’s vehicle came to a controlled stop on the west shoulder of southbound I-35.

The report indicates Teel suffered moderate injuries, Calloway suffered serious injuries and Guzman suffered minor injuries.
