MARYVILLE, Mo. — Northwest Missouri State University is putting out feelers on a new capital campaign. University fundraisers brought in $43.5 million in its last campaign, which ended in 2006.

The university’s governing board and Northwest administrators discussed some possible campaign topics, including scholarship possibilities for a variety of students, from study abroad to the under-represented population to those students “caught in the middle” — the students whose parents make too much money for them to qualify for Pell grants, but still need aid to go to college.
