Missouri Western State University today joins a growing list of institutions of higher education that no longer tolerate tobacco use on campus.

An estimated 25 to 27 percent of Western’s students smoke or use smokeless tobacco, which means about 1,600 students will not be allowed to bring their tobacco habits to the 700-acre campus as of today. Administrators devised the policy last year and won approval from the university’s governing board. President Bob Vartabedian signed off on the policy last October.

So Shana is a traveling smoking ban proponent, and Dr Bond is a shill for Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, who is the "philanthropic arm" of the patch and gum selling Johnson and Johnson. He gets paid to fib about the effects of second hand smoke, AND about the financial and physical harm caused by smoking bans.

I will be SO glad when the truth comes out about these patch and gum pushers.

I would believe Mr Bond if I didn't know about his funding. He and his traveling dog and pony show should be investigated for illegal lobbying with federal and non profit funds.

It will be interesting to see where all the American Family smokers go now. They used to cross the street to smoke on MWSU property...

Forget about the students coming back in August. Just wait until the Kansas City smokers arrive at Chiefs Training Camp this month. WOO - HOO!

Exactly it will be very interesting to see the the people who attend the Chiefs training camp and how they go about telling those fans that smoke they cannot smoke on their property. Secondly as long as I was outside between classes in my car I would be damned if they told me I could not smoke in my own property/car because I am not hurting anyone with my smoke inside my own car at that point. Dang people need to get a life and smokers and non smokers alike need to honor each others rights for gods sake.

People should quit smoking from their own initiative. If someone is interested to find out how much damaged the cigarettes have to his body, he can do an open MRI at Middletown Medical Imaging, which is a painless noninvasive procedure to obtain highly accurate images of the body. Maybe, in this way, he will find out more details about his general health.

Smoking cigarettes raise too many health risks. People should be concerned more about their health, not to find new ways to develop new medical conditions. Also, some of them want to make a health insurance to be certain that they are covered when they need medical assistance. For example, understanding Medicare health plan is a great way to decide if he wants or not such a well done health care plan.
