Three low-income housing projects in St. Joseph have been put on hold until the Missouri legislature can come to an agreement on tax credit reform.
The deal was struck earlier this month when Gov. Jay Nixon called a special session to provide $1.7 billion in tax incentives for Boeing to build a 777X commercial airline plant in St. Louis County. Local Sens. Rob Schaaf and Brad Lager, along with three other Republican senators, agreed to not filibuster the bill as long as the governor guaranteed tax credit reform in the next session.
