St. Joseph police investigated two incidents Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the Sprint store, located at 3715 Frederick Blvd., around 7:20 p.m. in reference to a bomb threat called into the store. An employee told police a subject called the store and advised her that explosive devices had been placed inside and asked for a cash register drawer to be placed outside the building.

Officers evacuated neighboring businesses as they investigated. No explosive devices were found.

Shortly after the bomb threat, officers responded to King Hill Mart & Liquor, 4702 King Hill Ave., after a masked man entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect, described as a black man, dressed in dark-colored clothing with white bandana covering his face, later left the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call (816) 238-TIPS.
